Geese in the Backyard

Added bonus of our house...irrigation.  It is fun for the kids to play in, easy to water the trees and grass, and when it is lake-like on a late summer morning the geese and ducks come to visit.  They honk their arrival to let us know they are coming and honk their goodbye when they leave.

The Fort

Two garbage cans, a moving blanket, and some rocks make for an afternoon of fun.

Ridge's First Letter

My magnetic white board was sitting on the counter.  Ridge noticed it and sat down.  He wrote his first letter and was quite proud of himself.  He showed me how he had made it just like mine (the J in PB and J).  This was a few months ago.  He frequently asks me to help him write his name now, but always wants to use the same white board to write on.

Friend Friday, Candy Pencil Addition

We started the year trying to have a friend Friday, craft included, every Friday.  Every Friday has turned out to be a little ambitious, but we do what we can.  This was the candy pencil day.  The pencil is made out of a package of rolos with a Hersheys kiss on the end.  I think there was a makeover of sorts just before the craft.

 How cute are these two?

Ridge's First Day of Preschool

He is now big enough for preschool, still exceptionally cute, and feeling pretty important with his new superman backpack.
